Dawn Escapes is the second album by Christian rock band Falling Up. It shows less raw production than its predecessor, Crashings, with more electronic instances, as well as use of piano and strings (comparable to Linkin Park and Evanescence).
It also bears less pop influence than Crashings, as well as lyrics less focused on divine grace, with a decidedly poetic and conceptual theme of searching for spiritual truths while being pursued by predators. Lyrics remain openly Christian with references to God being the only source of salvation in almost every song, and liner notes liken song lyrics to Scripture, in keeping with Crashings' lyric sheet.
